296 Squadron extra-mural activities 1949.

The 10th Annual Sports Meeting of the Squadron.

As a recently joined member of the squadron I was the interval pianist.
My recall of the event is limited.
F/O Alf Edwards was a renowned musician on the concertina and had a large part in the addition of bagpipes to the bugle and drum band.
MALlN the fishmonger was a former cadet.
Theodosius or Cdt EA Griffin committed suicide by drowning and his reason was never known.
